Step back in time to discover the rhythmic charm of early American toys by crafting your very own wooden spin drum.

Step back in time to discover the rhythmic charm of early American toys by crafting your very own wooden spin drum. Using simple materials like cardboard, twine, and wooden beads, participants will assemble a classic "hand drum" that creates a delightful clatter with just a twist of the wrist. We will finish our projects by decorating the drum heads with folk-style patterns, celebrating the handmade spirit of the 18th and 19th centuries.

Open to kids ages 2 - 5. Registration not required, but space is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Call or visit the library with any questions.
