United Way of Central Jersey is the main provider of VITA services in Middlesex County and provides free income tax services to eligible taxpayers.

United Way of Central Jersey is the main provider of VITA services in Middlesex County and provides free income tax services to eligible taxpayers.

IRS-Certified volunteer tax preparers provide two types of service:

  • Drop-off/Pick up service - pick up a packet on the lower level of the Main Library during all open hours. Complete the documents inside and return to the locked box located on the lower level of the Main Library. VITA volunteers will contact you to make an appointment WITH VITA to pick up your completed return. Turnaround time is approximately one week.
  • In-person appointments - please visit UWCJ's website, https://uwcjvitataxappt.as.me/ , or call the United Way office 732.247.3730 to make an appointment WITH VITA.
