Edison Public Library
Presented by Girl Scout member Sreshta
Have you ever wondered how your arm bends? In this workshop, participants will learn the science behind muscles and joints, creating cardboard models to demonstrate how our body moves. Using this knowledge of how we move, participants will then create a prosthetic arm out of craft materials to understand the role of engineering in the biomedical space and how it can be used to change lives. Future doctors, engineers, and change-makers, make your way to STEAM success!
For ages 8-13, all materials will be provided.
The Main Library on Plainfield Avenue next to the Edison Train Station. The library offers an extensive children’s room, a Meeting Room/Event Space, and a dedicated Maker Space.
