Learn how to identify, preserve, and interpret the old photographs in your personal collection. This is a quick-paced, introductory workshop that incorporates authentic examples of 19th and 20th century images.
Attendees will:
- Learn the basics of the history of photography and photographic processes.
- Be challenged to think about photographic images in new ways and explore the many things
that can be learned from a single image. - Learn how to best preserve, store, share, and display photographs to keep them safe, organized,
and accessible for future generations.
Open to adults. Registration not required, but seating is limited and attendance is on a first-come, first-served basis. Call or visit the library with any questions.

About the branch
The Main Library on Plainfield Avenue next to the Edison Train Station. The library offers an extensive children’s room, a Meeting Room/Event Space, and a dedicated Maker Space.
