Join Dr. Diane Cypkin, Ph.D., and pianist Lena Panfilova in this beautiful concert and lecture celebrating Yiddish theatre. This concert includes music made famous by many Yiddish performers like Molly Picon, Chaim Tauber, Isadore Lillian and Aaron Lebedeff, followed by a fascinating lecture where Dr. Cypkin explains how these fine performers and their beautiful songs earned a permanent place in Yiddish theater—and our hearts—forever. Diane Cypkin will take her audience through the music and history of a bygone era but one whose effects are still felt today.
