The Violin Conspiracy is a novel by Brendan Slocumb about a Black classical musician named Ray McMillian who discovers his family's old fiddle is a priceless Stradivarius. The book, a "Good Morning America" Book Club pick, follows Ray's journey to the prestigious Tchaikovsky Competition, which is jeopardized when the violin is stolen on the eve of the event. The story is a blend of mystery, thriller, and a tale of overcoming prejudice in the classical music world.
