Live performance in the Northern Indian tradition
Join us for an afternoon of Hindustani Classical music. Vocalist Rupali Venugopal (founder of the Swar Leela Music Center) will delight us with the sounds of northern India. Enjoy centuries-old ragas and popular film music based on the tradition.
Rupali has trained many students in Hindustani classical music for the past 12 years. She has acquired Sangeet Visharad from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Samved North America and Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalay in India. Rupali's motto is "It's never too late or too early to start learning music. It is to improve our life, mentally and physically, other than performances.”
