Mr. José Obando will discuss the formation of Spanish-Caribbean cultural and musical identity, including the mixing of European and African elements that lead to the creation of salsa. And with the help of his ensemble, the music will come to life!
Mr. Obando is the founder of the Lubona Corporation, a cultural organization specializing in the Hispanic market, and one of the founders of the Salsa Museum in Spanish Harlem.
