Children's RoomCelebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the library with a hands-on craft workshop exploring the traditional Latin American art of paper arpilleras!
Originating as a powerful form of folk art and storytelling, these colorful 3D textile collages traditionally depicted daily life, community, and hope using scraps of fabric and yarn. We will use layered construction paper, felt, and decorative embellishments to design their own vibrant scene inspired by this rich cultural heritage. Join us to learn about the fascinating history behind this art form and take home your very own handmade masterpiece!
Open to kids 5 - 11. Registration not required, but space is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Call or visit the library with any questions.
