Join us for a special Juneteenth community service project where children will decorate bookmarks, donate books, and celebrate freedom through reading and creativity!

Join us for a special Juneteenth community service project where children will decorate bookmarks, donate books, and celebrate freedom through reading and creativity!

Children will create handmade Juneteenth-themed bookmarks and donate new or gently used books to local schools, libraries, shelters, or community centers. The event can also include a short story time featuring books about freedom, equality, African American history, and kindness.

At the Bookmark Decorating Station, kids are encouraged to create colorful bookmarks with messages of positivity, Juneteenth colors (red, black, green, yellow), inspirational quotes, and drawings celebrating freedom and unity.

Open to ages 2 and older with their caregivers.
