Ruchika Gaba Vasishta will discuss her compelling book Abode Abroad: A Collection of Inspirational Life Journeys, which brings together the voices of twenty Indian women who have built new lives across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Through stories shaped by hope, sacrifice, and determination, the collection explores identity, belonging, and the immigrant experience with honesty and heart.
Dr. Suresh U. Kumar—professor, entrepreneur, and author of the Amazon bestselling novel The Girl in Scarlet Hijab—will share insights into his work. Set in 1980s India, his historical fiction explores themes of courage, love, and sacrifice while delivering a powerful and universal message.
Together, these authors offer unique perspectives on crossing cultures, pursuing dreams, and finding one’s voice through storytelling. They will also share insights into their writing journeys, inspirations, and paths to publication.
Whether you're drawn to personal narratives, historical fiction, or global perspectives, this event promises an engaging and meaningful conversation.
