Children's RoomExperience the simple joys of the 18th century by crafting their own whirligigs from materials that can be found at home.
Children will discover how colonial kids stayed entertained by crafting their own whirligigs using wood, string, and colorful designs. This hands-on program explores the science of kinetic energy and the history of folk toys that required only imagination and basic materials. Join us to build a classic toy that hums, spins, and brings a piece of the past to life!
Open to kids ages 2 - 5. Registration not required, but space is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Call or visit the library with any questions.
