Meeting RoomIn colonial America, clothing told a story about who you were, what you did, and where you belonged.
In this creative workshop, children use fashion as a storytelling tool. They match colonial occupation cards to the right outfits, then design their own original colonial character complete with a name, a job, and a fully designed 1700s outfit. Each child shares their character in a group storytelling share-out at the close of the session.
Includes: read-aloud · occupation sorting card activity · character design · story share-out
Open to kids ages 5 - 11. Registration not required, but space is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Call or visit the library with any questions.
