Examine what powers AI systems, including energy use, water consumption, human labor, and embedded biases. The session also explores hallucinations, misinformation, and how the growing volume of AI-generated content can affect the reliability of the information we rely on. Learn to think critically about these tools, evaluate AI-generated information, and use AI responsibly.
Open to adults. Registration is suggested but not required, and opens on April 20.
About our speaker
Heather Dalal, MLIS, MEd, is a librarian and educator that helps people move from feeling overwhelmed by AI to using it with confidence. She has worked in academic libraries for over twenty-five years breaking down emerging technologies into clear, practical steps that anyone can follow.
