A 90-minute dynamic and exciting workshop to elicit the inventor in everyone!
This workshop covers all aspects of the inventing process from concept to fruition, developed to help participants think outside of the proverbial box by using one's imagination to solve everyday problems.
Participants work in groups of 5 to 7, and each group is given a problem to solve through innovation. Each group forms a business, giving each member a title such as CEO, CFO, IT, Receptionist, Sales Associates, Accountants, etc. Once the positions are established, the group builds a concept for an invention to address the problem. Once the product idea has been established, the group must name the product, and create a slogan, infomercial, and marketing plan. Each group will pitch their product and infomercial to the other groups who act as judges. The winning pitch will be selected by our facilitator Lisa Ascolese, The Inventress.
Registration is required and beings March 23rd. Open to kids in grades 4 through 7.
Participation is limited to 35 attendees, with a minimum of ten required.
