AARP is offering free in-person, same-day Tax Preparation and Filing for low- and moderate-income taxpayers of any age with special attention given to seniors 60 and above.

While our AARP tax specialists are certified to do most returns, there are some returns they cannot do (out of scope). Examples of this include: income from rental properties, certain types of self-employment income, digital currency, etc. 

Prior to your scheduled appointment, please pick up an envelope from the Library and complete the first page of the enclosed 13614-C Intake/Interview and Quality Review Document. It is also best to read the material provided to help understand what documents must be brought for your scheduled appointment.

Documents to bring include:

• Government issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, etc.)
• Social security card or ITIN letter for all individuals listed on the return (photocopies not allowed)
• All 2025 tax forms (SSA-1099, 1099-R, W-2s, etc.) Last paystub from 2025 & first paystub of 2026 if filing a W-2.
• Blank check for direct deposit (for routing/account numbers)
• Health care coverage info (1095-A, B, C)
• Tuition statements (1098-T) in applicable
• Deduction documents for property taxes, medical expense, charitable contributions, etc.
• 2024 Federal and State tax returns and all associated documents
• 2025 SSA-1099 Social Security Benefit Statement (if receiving social security)
