Take a journey across genres with an afternoon of music. Pianist Peter Rushing and bassist Mike Noordzy will escort us across eras and styles, ranging from early minimalism to jazz standards to modern film score and more. Explore the history of piano music via the versatility of this duo.
Peter Rushing is a pianist and educator who has played in jazz venues throughout the tri-state area including Birdland Jazz Club in New York City and Chris’ Jazz Café in Philadelphia. A graduate of Rutgers University where he studied with jazz greats Bill O’Connell and Orrin Evans, Peter has followed in his teachers’ footsteps of education, teaching piano students of all ages and abilities at local schools in New Jersey.
