In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, join us for a moving and inspiring program celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Experience powerful reenactments of his most influential speeches and reflections on justice, equality, and nonviolence, presented by Keith Henley of American Historical Theatre.
All ages are welcome. No registration is required. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
About Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. became one of the most influential voices of the 20th century. A gifted orator, pastor, and civil rights leader, Dr. King dedicated his life to advancing racial equality through nonviolent protest. His leadership helped shape the Civil Rights Movement, earning him the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964. Among his many enduring contributions, his “I Have a Dream” speech delivered at the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, remains a defining moment in American history.
About the Actor
Keith Henley brings history to life through dynamic performance and deep scholarship. His diverse academic background includes studies in chemistry, mathematics, biology, and theatre education. He has performed with Historic Philadelphia Inc. and American Historical Theatre, and currently serves in several artistic leadership roles, including Artistic Director of Transformation Theatre Productions of Camden. His work blends historical interpretation, performance, and community engagement.
