The Vaster Wilds is a 2023 historical fiction novel by Lauren Groff about a young servant girl who escapes a colonial settlement in the 17th-century American wilderness. The book is a thrilling adventure and a penetrating fable that explores themes of survival, colonialism, and the relationship between humanity and nature. The story follows the girl's journey through the untamed landscape, where she confronts both physical and spiritual challenges that force her to question her beliefs and adapt to a new way of life.  

Print copies will be available to check out at the North Edison Branch on reserve for book club members approximately four weeks before this book club meeting. Digital copies may be available to check out via Libby and Hoopla. For more title availability, please visit our online catalog.
