Remarkably Bright Creatures is a 2022 debut novel by Shelby Van Pelt about a widow, Tova Sullivan, who forms an unlikely friendship with a giant Pacific octopus named Marcellus at the Sowell Bay Aquarium. Together, they work to uncover the truth behind the disappearance of Tova's son, Erik, over 30 years prior. The story also follows Cameron Cassmore, a young man searching for his father, who eventually crosses paths with Tova.  

Print copies will be available to check out at the North Edison Branch on reserve for book club members approximately four weeks before this book club meeting. Digital copies may be available to check out via Libby and Hoopla. For more title availability, please visit our online catalog.
