Collaborative exchange of resources and services, overcoming barriers to meeting common needs
This year, before “Giving Tuesday”, learn how you can give your skills, time and resources to directly affect your community. Mutual Aid is a system of reciprocal exchange of goods and services, so members of a community rely on each other for support where governments and charities have failed. More than just putting a band-aid on a problem, mutual aid fights the systems that created the problems in the first place.
Members of Mutual Oranges and Mask Bloc NJ will tell us all about mutual aid programs and how we can get involved. When it seems like we have nothing, all we have is each other.
Masks are mandatory for those who are able to. N95 masks will be provided. This presentation is also available via YouTube.
The Main Library on Plainfield Avenue next to the Edison Train Station. The library offers an extensive children’s room, a Meeting Room/Event Space, and a dedicated Maker Space.
