Bar None sparks a powerful conversation on criminal justice reform, equity and the cannabis industry

Marijuana is now legal for recreational use in 24 states, and for medical use in another 16 states plus the District of Columbia. However, about 40,000 people are still imprisoned on marijuana-related charges. Many of them are serving long sentences for offenses that would be legal today. Bar None: Cannabis Redemption spotlights the lives of formerly incarcerated individuals navigating a legal cannabis industry that once punished them. This award-winning documentary explores their passion and involvement in social justice issues with reverberations beyond cannabis laws, and explores the justice system and racism in America.
