Edison Public Library
Join us for a special afternoon of remembrance, respect, and community as we honor the service and sacrifice of our veterans.
The event begins with a flag-folding ceremony presented by members of the American Legion, demonstrating the meaning and tradition behind this powerful American symbol.
Next, the Metuchen-Edison Historical Society will lead an interactive presentation on Edison's military history, highlighting rare photographs, artifacts, and maps. Discover the stories behind Raritan Arsenal, Camp Kilmer, and other significant local sites that played a role in America’s military past.
Explore a curated display of military artifacts and historical documents, and gain a deeper understanding of how national history has shaped our local community.
The afternoon concludes with a chance to mingle with local veterans, Historical Society members, and fellow community members over light refreshments, in addition to viewing several Willys military jeeps in our parking lot belonging to members of the Central Jersey Military Motorpool.
Let us come together to reflect, learn, and express our gratitude to those who have served.
No registration required, open to all ages.
