From publishing her first novel at 45 to earning a National Book Award nomination and releasing multiple story collections in her 60s and 70s, she shares the challenges, surprises, and rewards of a mid-life writing journey.
This hour-long visit includes:
- a 20-minute reading from her new story collection That Very Place (Unsolicited Press, September 2025)
- a discussion of her late-to-the game publication journey
- a 15-minute Q&A
- a raffle to win a copy of "That Very Place" and Mary Ann's other book "Pieces: A Novel in Stories"
