Virtual Meeting RoomRepresentatives from the Middlesex County Office of Aging and Disabled Services will lead a presentation discussing the different county resources available to Older Adults and Caregivers.
The office provides leadership in the coordination and provision of a comprehensive network of services enabling older adults (60+) and persons with disabilities (18+) to function as independently as possible in a community environment which best suits their needs and interests. Services range from social and recreational activities to in-home and long-term care.
The presentation will cover
- Information and Assistance, Screenings for Homecare Programs and Senior Meal Program
- Data on the needs of residents and the county’s growing older adult population
- Medicare counseling and open enrollment
- Referrals to social service agencies-- resources for older adults and disabled populations including legal services, care management, and mental health
- How the office works with senior centers and community partners on events for older adults, disabled persons, and caregivers
This program is part of EPL's Caregiver Series in recognition of National Caregiver Month.
