Edison Public Library
with Glenn Berntsen, founder of Queen Honey
If taste is king then honey is its queen! Honey can be used as a sugar substitute in your breads, cakes, dips and sauces. It can even be used in home remedies and to treat wounds and burns.
Queen Honey founder Glenn Berntsen will tell us about using all-natural honey as a substitute for sugar in baking, as well as a delicious snack on its own. Honey has been a part of his family roots for centuries, from the farms in Norway and along the coastlines of the fjords, where honey was accessible and plentiful, even during the cold seasons. He’ll discuss the benefits and considerations of incorporating honey into our diets, and why we should be closer to the source of our food. Come with your favorite recipes and see how honey can make them healthier and tastier!
