Meeting RoomAn educator from Liberty Science Center will join us in the Library via Zoom to talk about these astronomical phenomena two weeks before the solar eclipse on October 14.
The 2023 annular solar eclipse will cross North, Central, and South America on Saturday, October 14.
Learn all about phases and eclipses from a Liberty Science Center educator.
Observe the changes in the moon's phases as a month goes by and develop a conceptual model of their cyclic patterns, as well as of eclipses of the sun and moon. Explore these astronomical phenomena as seen from both Earth and outer space.
Ages 12 to adult. No one under 12 will be admitted.
Space is limited and registration is required. Registration opens Monday, September 11th at 9:30 am.
Main Library
The Main Library on Plainfield Avenue next to the Edison Train Station. The library offers an extensive children’s room, a Meeting Room/Event Space, and a dedicated Maker Space.
