Paper-cutting is an ancient Chinese art that takes years to master.
Performer, designer, illustrator, and instructor in the ancient art of Chinese paper-cutting, Hou-Tien Cheng came to the United States in 1972. He learned the skill of paper-cutting from his grandmother and perfected his craft over time to become a Master of Paper-cutting. Mr. Cheng cuts in free-form without sketching or marking the paper in advance.
Watch in amazement at Mr. Cheng’s speed and accuracy as characters appear from blank pieces of paper.
Space is limited. Registration will begin at 9:30 am on Monday, January 22.
